Penta Capital backed Sir Peter Wood and his team in 2010 to complete the MBO of esure, the UK’s 5^th largest motor insurer,  from Lloyds Banking Group plc.

We supported management through the personal injury crisis, doubled investment returns and optimised the capital structure. We saw it rise more than 12 fold over 3 years to £120m generating an outsize return for all stakeholders.

In March 2013 esure Group PLC successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange at a value of £1.2bn, generating a realised money multiple of over 3.3x for Penta.
