Penta Capital invested in TalkTalk in March 2021 alongside Toscafund, the London-based multi-asset investment management firm, via a £1.1 billion public-to-private deal.

TalkTalk is the UK’s leading value-for-money broadband provider. Having entered the market in the early 2000s, it now provides landline telephony, broadband and TV services to over 12 million people in over 4 million homes and businesses. Company’s business model is underpinned by a low-cost position driven by a scalable and extensive network, which covers approximately 96% of UK premises through TalkTalk’s 3,000 unbundled exchanges.

TalkTalk is led by a very experienced and ambitious management team, including its founder and significant shareholder Charles Dunstone. A number of the key members have worked well together for a decade and have delivered this transformation of the business. Our objective is to support management in creating value from the UK’s fibre to the premises roll-out which is one of the most significant changes in UK telecoms in the last 30 years.
